4. Does NewMindsets have its own internal learning management system?
Yes. It does not offer the full functionality of the multi-million dollar management systems provided by the large LMS companies, but provides a perfectly adequate way of managing fairly large-scale learning applications involving thousands of users. For example, it enables learners to be served by individualized programs of study (using the design a course feature), and to track their learning and submit progress reports to course instructors, coaches, team members or learning managers. It also contains 'super-administration functionality' allowing learning managers or administrators to control access to the system, create team or departmental learning units, obtain global reports, operate customized "quick polling" features, manage the self-authored content that has been created to customize learning for special organizational or course-related needs, link learners to other corporate learning resources outside the NewMindsets system, etc. Very large organizations will need to integrate use of the system with their other HR information systems. But small and medium sized organizations, autonomous divisions of large organizations, business schools, executive development programs, etc. will find that NewMindsets can operate as a free-standing learning system with minimal administrative demands.
