8. What are the NewMindsets technology requirements?
NewMindsets uses proven technologies from industry-leading providers such as Microsoft and Macromedia. To maximize accessibility for learners, our Web-based system incorporates widely-used cross-platform technologies such as Flash, XHTML, CSS1 and JavaScript and allows linkages to learning management systems and other human resources systems.
NewMindsets system learners using a Windows Operating System must be able to run one of the following Web browsers: Microsoft Internet Explorer browser version 5.0 or higher (6.0 is recommended), or Netscape Version 6.1 or higher (7.0 or higher is recommended). Apple Macintosh users must be able to run Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 6.1 or higher (7.0 or higher is recommended).
The NewMindsets application uses an open architecture structure built on a single SQL Server database with ASP server-side processing. Our learning systems and solutions offer maximum flexibility and scalability to clients and can be installed and delivered through your organization's Intranet or be independently hosted.
To facilitate knowledge sharing functions, NewMindsets solutions are designed to efficiently communicate information across a network without requiring high bandwidth connections. A standard SMTP e-mail interface is used to connect NewMindsets to a customer's e-mail systems if the NewMindsets system is installed within the customer's Intranet. The same communication functionality is available when NewMindsets hosts its own solutions on our clients' behalf.
